Planning Your Easter Weekend in Victoria?


Springtime is best in our fair city of flowers, and Easter weekend is a great time to get outside, take in the sunshine and fresh air, and enjoy one of the many events our vibrant city has to offer.


Eat!


What better than a festive Easter meal with family or friends? Plenty of restaurants are featuring a special Easter menu. Just be sure you make a reservation!


The Fairmont Empress Hotel's restaurant, Q at the Empress” is offering an Easter Brunch with a variety of seasonal dishes and a dessert buffet.


The Dining Room Restaurant at the Butchart Gardens and the Blue Poppy Restaurant is no longer offering bookings for Easter, but you can get early plans in place for their Mother’s Day Lunch Buffet starting April 3rd.


Downtown, The Bard & Banker is providing brunch and roast beef dinner on Sunday, April 9th. At 2:30 pm, they are hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids.


The Oak Bay Beach Hotel is hosting an iconic Easter Brunch Buffet on Sunday, April 9, 2023, in their stunning, ocean view Grand Lobby

The stunning Butchart Gardens in Victoria will have Easter-themed activities and events, including an egg hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny.


It’s hard to beat a leisurely Easter stroll or bike ride along Victoria’s waterfront of scenic views and fresh sea air.


Drive (or bike) out to Sax Park! It offers beautiful views of Juan de Fuca Strait and the Olympic mountains, gardens, woods, trails to enjoy and beaches for a picnic.



Consider exploring the Royal BC Museum or the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria to learn more about the area.


Victoria's downtown core has a network of bike lanes that make it easy to cycle around the city to easily access main attractions, including the Inner Harbour, Parliament Buildings, and Beacon Hill Park. Several trails radiate away from the city core, excellent for hiking and biking including:


The Galloping Goose Regional Trail which is a 60-kilometer trail which connects Victoria to the neighboring communities of Saanich, Colwood, Langford, and Sooke. The 29 km, Lochside Regional Trail runs from Victoria to the Saanich Peninsula, passing through suburban and rural areas along the way. E&N Rail Trail is a 17-kilometer trail from Victoria to Langford. The Oak Bay Recreation Centre bike lanes are a network of bike lanes connecting Victoria to the suburban community of Oak Bay and offers a scenic ride along the coast. And finally, the Gonzales Hill Regional Park has a network of trails which are popular with mountain bikers and hikers.


Worship


If Easter isn’t complete without attending an Easter Service, Victoria has a diverse and vibrant faith community, with a range of religious institutions and organizations.
